Intern Circle - Host Company Terms & Conditions


The following terms apply in any circumstances between: 

(1)  Intern Circle Limited, having its registered office at 5/F, Dina House, 3-11 Duddell Street, Central, Hong Kong (“Intern Circle”, “we”, “us” or “our”); and 

(2)  the person or user who visits our website (“you”, “your” and “their”).
These terms and conditions, together with the privacy notice on our website and any contract for services you sign with us, shall form the basis of our contract (the “Agreement”) and you are regarded as having read, understood and agreed to our terms and conditions prior to booking any services with us. 

This Agreement contains the terms and conditions that apply to your use of our website from the moment you interact with us. 

Please note that we do not provide the Services exclusively to you and may provide the same or similar services to any other person. 



'Applicable Law' means all laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“HKSAR”, including all Ordinances, regulations and codes issued from time to time and in force. 

'Internship(s)' means any Internship with a booked through us.

'Services' means our search and internship placement services (including any activities in support and facilitation of the internship) from time to time made available by us to you. 

1. Variation

We reserve the right to vary the terms and conditions in this Agreement from time to time. The terms that apply between us are those posted here on our website. 
You should review this page regularly for updates.

 2. Website Terms of Use

The information contained on this website is for general information purposes. It does not constitute a guarantee or promise of eligibility or admission to any service offered by Intern Circle. Nothing on this website should be relied on or treated as a substitute for specific advice relevant to particular circumstances.

Certain parts of this website link to other websites, and other websites may link to this website. Intern Circle is not responsible for the content of any third-party website.

By accessing Intern Circle’s website, you agree that you may only download the content for informational purposes for your own personal non-commercial use. Except where stated otherwise, you are not permitted to copy, broadcast, download, store (in any medium), transmit, show or play in public, adapt or change in any way the content of these web pages for any other purpose whatsoever without the prior written permission of Intern Circle.

3. Our Services 

Our Services will be offered to you pursuant to a specific contract to be entered into between us. 

4. Acceptable Use Policy


You agree not to:

(i) open more than one account;

(ii) allow another person to use your account, or transfer your account to another person without our express written permission; or


(iii) divulge your password to another person;


(iv) use or allow anyone else to use the website to post or otherwise publish: copyright works; commercial audio, video or music files; any material which violates the law of any established jurisdiction; unlicensed software; software which assists in or promotes: emulators, phreaking, hacking, password cracking, IP spoofing; links to any of the material specified in this paragraph; pornographic material; any material promoting discrimination or animosity to any person on grounds of gender, race or colour;


(v) use the Services for spamming.


(vi) use the Services in a manner which violates any city, local, national or international law or regulation, or which fails to comply with accepted internet protocol. You will not attempt to interfere in any way with our networks or network security, or attempt to use the Services to gain unauthorised access to any other computer system.


(vii) resell, rent, lease or make commercial use of the Services without our express written consent.


(viii) save / update / refresh job adverts with the sole purpose of increasing visibility, and without making any considerable changes on its content.


Additionally universities, recruitment agencies and other organisations seeking to post Internships on behalf of a client, must upgrade to a premium plan in order to use our Services.

We reserve the right to remove or cancel accounts from direct competitors in the recruitment industry.

5. Content and Intellectual Property Rights

5.1 Title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in the content whether provided by Intern Circle or by any other content provider shall remain the sole property of Intern Circle and/or the other content provider.

5.2 You may not copy, modify, publish, transmit, transfer or sell, reproduce, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, display, or in any way exploit any of the content, in whole or in part, except as is expressly permitted in this Agreement.

5.3 You may print or copy the content only for your own personal use, provided that you maintain all copyright and other notices contained in such content. You may not store electronically any significant portion of any content.

6. Liability

This website content is provided for informational purposes only and your use of the website is without any liability, warranty or guarantee. We disclaim all responsibility for information published on the website by any person.


These disclaimers form an essential part of our Agreement. 

7. Data Protection and Privacy

7.1 Our privacy notice sets out how we process personal information. 

7.2 You consent to the sharing of necessary personal data with the Host as well as with the London head office and Hong Kong offices of Intern Circle Limited, in compliance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Chapter 486, Laws of Hong Kong.

8. System Security


8.1 You agree that you will not, and will not allow any other person to, violate or attempt to violate any aspect of the security of the website;

8.2 You agree that  you will, in no way, modify, reverse engineer, disassemble, decompile, copy, or cause damage or unintended effect to any portion of the website, or any software used on the website, and that will not permit any other person to do so.

8.3 You understand that any such violation may be unlawful and that any contravention of law may result in criminal prosecution.

9. General


9.1 A person who is not a party to this Agreement shall not have any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Chapter 623 of the Laws of Hong Kong) to enforce any terms of this Agreement.


9.2 The rights of the parties to terminate, rescind or agree any variation, waiver or settlement under the Agreement is not subject to the consent of any person that is not a party to this agreement.


9.3 If any provision or part-provision of the Agreement is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed deleted, but that shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of this Agreement. If any provision or part-provision of this Agreement is deleted under this clause 18(c) the parties shall negotiate in good faith to agree a replacement provision that, to the greatest extent possible, achieves the intended commercial result of the original provision.


9.4 This Agreement and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of HKSAR. This Agreement shall not be governed by the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, the application of which is hereby expressly excluded.


9.5 In the event of a dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or any contract between you and Intern Circle, then you agree to attempt to settle the dispute by engaging in good faith with Intern Circle in a process of mediation before commencing any arbitration or litigation. 


9.6 Each party irrevocably agrees that the courts of HKSAR shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this Agreement or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
